11th November 2011
Windsurfing: Levington
Wind Direction: se
Wind Stength: 10/17
Surf / Sea State: flatish
Air Temperature: 10
Sea Temperature: 14
Weather: cloudy :(
Max Speed: 20.90 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 18.90 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

With 17/20 mph forecast I went to look at The Dip/Felixstowe first but the tide was high, the sea lumpy and difficult to get off the beach and with nobody out decided to go and look at Levington although not a brilliant direction for there either :( Arrived at Levington,it was cold and grey and you couldn't even see Felixstowe docks in the gloom - the point of winter is ????? Nearly talked myself out of it but having drive 6 miles to the water and the tide was in decided to get the raceboard out and see if I could get a 20 kt. ave. Sadly the wind was abit on the light side so beat to Shotley Pier seeing a seal and hundreds of birds on the way :) and tacking right beside the huge container ships at Felixstowe makes the heart beat faster !!! Then as I neared the bend by Levington Marina the wind picked up a little as the tide turned and I pushed to get 20 kts and nearly made my 20 ave !!!! So in the end not a bad couple of hours out with the wild life, shame I had to wear my hat and gloves for the first time this winter :( and the forecast wind for Sunday seems to be disappearing :(
